The legal drama surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs took an unexpected turn today as a group of his most devoted fans turned the courthouse steps into a slippery, chaotic spectacle. CNN’s Laura Coates reported that supporters poured baby oil on each other while chanting,

 “It’s not RICO, it’s FREAKO!”

—a bizarre rallying cry that left onlookers stunned.

Witnesses described scenes of near-pandemonium as fans glistening with baby oil, danced and chanted in support of the embattled music mogul. Some held homemade signs with slogans like “Free Diddy” and “RICO is Wack, Freako is Back!”—a clear reference to the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) charges Combs is facing.

“It’s Not RICO, It’s FREAKO!” – But What Does It Mean?

The origins of the chant remain unclear, but some speculate it’s a nod to Diddy’s infamous 1990s alter ego, “Puff Daddy the Freak.” Others believe it’s a satirical jab at the seriousness of the RICO charges, suggesting the case is more about spectacle than substance.

Legal analysts, however, weren’t laughing. “RICO cases are no joke,” said criminal defense attorney Marcus Greene. “But when your fanbase starts turning court appearances into a WWE meets oil wrestling event, it’s hard to take anything seriously.”

One X user simply tweeted:
“Diddy’s fans really out here turning federal charges into a l#be party. I can’t. 💀”
